EBIs are interventions have been proven effective through research studies that showed positive behavioral (e.g., use of condoms; reduction in number of partners) and/or health outcomes (e.g., reduction in the number of new STD infections). Public Health Strategies are time tested protocols used by public health practitioners in the prevention, screening, diagnostic, or treatment processes. Core competency trainings for EBIs and PHS increase knowledge, skills, and abilities required to implement HIV prevention interventions, and programs and services.
Monitoring and Evaluation is the systematic collection, analysis and use of information from projects and programs for three basic purposes: Managing and measuring program performance, Improving the quality of HIV prevention programs, and Promoting accountability.
Organizational Infrastructure & Program Sustainability
ORGANIZATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE encompasses the basic components of an agency including its leadership, legal documentation, staff policies and procedures, financial accounts and procedures, etc. Capacity building in these areas is needed to keep an organization functioning legally and practically on a day-to-day basis. PROGRAM SUSTAINABILITY is about maintaining and continuing program services after the funding period is over.
