Erika Roca started working in the HIV/AIDS field in 2010 as a volunteer, then completed her internship in Client Services at APLA in 2014 and joined the APLA team as Capacity Building Assistance Advisor in 2014. Ms. Roca received her Master’s in Public Health with an emphasis in HIV/AIDS and Community Health Education in 2015 and is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES). She has experience in providing capacity building services, such as training's and technical assistance to health departments nationwide. Ms. Roca is a certified trainer in HIV Navigation Services, Personalized Cognitive Counseling, ARTAS, and Sin Buscar Excusas/No Excuses.
Ms. Roca currently works as the CBA Resource Development Manager for Shared Action HD under the supervision of the Director of CBA programs. She oversees the development, implementation and quality assurance of new technologies (e.g., website, online trainings, educational materials).
